Christmas Menu
Hams
The hams can be eaten cold. You can heat them in the vacuum pack bag, put them straight into cold or simmering water for 25-30 minutes for a weight of 1.5/2 kg and 55-70 minutes for a weight of 2.5/3.5 kg. Or, pre-slice the ham, put the slices on an oven tray, splash it with some water. Then cover the slices with aluminium foil and put the tray in a preheated oven at 165 °C, for 2-4 portions at least 15 minutes in the oven.
Pigs in blankets
Defrost. Preheat the oven to 185 /195 °C. Remove the Pigs in blankets from the packaging and place them on a baking tray, splash them lightly with oil, and place the tray in the oven for approximately 20 minutes, until they have a good colour. Alternatively, shallow fry in a pan, 7-12 minutes at medium heat, until they have a good colour.
Loin of Pork
Defrost. Preheat the oven to 225°C. Remove package. Brush the loin with oil, and season both sides with salt and pepper. Use the weight on the label to calculate cooking time; allow 30 minutes per 450 grams in weight, plus another 15 – 20 minutes (until cooked through, when there is no pink meat and the juices run clear). Put in the oven for the required time.
Stuffing balls
Defrost. Preheat the oven to approximately 175°C, remove the stuffing balls from the packaging and place them on a baking tray, place the tray in the oven for approximately 15/20 minutes.
